Physiological Study of Clonorchis sinensis

Abstract

|
We have as yet very little information on the food of Clonorchis sinensis. The present study were initiated to determination the uptake of the food by Clonorchis sinensis occurred in the host. Histochemical procedures and autoradiography of Clonorchis sinensis labeled with P32 was applied. Histochemical study on hemoglobin, bile in the body of adult worms of clonorchis sinensis were carried out. The mount and the contact procedure in autoradiography was applied, and following results were obtained.
1. Hemoglobin reaction, bile reaction was proved in the contents of the intestinal cavity of the adult worms of Clonorchis sinensis.
2. The radio activity shown in autoradiogram is most distinct in the posterior two-third of the body particulary intestinal ceca of the adult worms of clonorchis sinensis.
